Friends of Chandor Gardens Bimonthly Meeting

Mark your calendar, and plan to attend the Friends of Chandor Gardens meeting on Wednesday, January 15 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Great Room at Chandor Gardens. 

"Mix and Mingle" visiting time will be from 11:00-11:30, an opportunity to visit with current Friends and to meet new Friends. The room will be set up with round tables so you can bring your lunch if you like. The guest speaker presentation – “Parlez-vous français? The Comte Paul de Bresson Stable” by Bill Warren, will start at 11:30 A.M. 

The preservation of the historic Comte Paul de Bresson Stable, located off South Main Street/Highway 51 behind the new Chick Fil A, on property owned by Weatherford College and under the scope of the Parker County Historical Commission, is just now being initiated. Comte Paul de Bresson came to Weatherford, Texas, in 1889, and had this stable built to house his thoroughbred horses which he offered for sale. Mr. Warren will share the interesting history behind this long overlooked stable and its significance.
