Mark your calendars, and plan to attend our next bimonthly meeting in the great room at Chandor Gardens on Wednesday, March 8, 11:00 - 1:00.
"Mix and Mingle" visiting time will be from 11:00-11:30, an opportunity to visit with current Friends and to meet new Friends with refreshments provided. The room will be set up with round tables so you can bring your lunch if you like. The exciting guest speaker presentation; “Growing Up In the Kuteman House Next Door To Chandor Gardens and Ina Kuteman Chandor” presented by John Forest will start at 11:30.
John Forest, who many of you will recognize as Parker County’s Attorney, grew up in what is known as the Kuteman house at 710 W. Simmons St, Weatherford, TX. . The big white house which can be glimpsed behind the south fence of Chandor Gardens. It is the same house that Ina Kuteman Chandor grew up in, and is where Douglas and Ina lived as newlyweds in 1934 until their house was built in 1936.
John will share with us some of the history of the Kuteman house. He is also going to share his childhood recollections of Ina Kuteman Chandor, and stories about Chandor Gardens which occurred during the time he lived next door.
This presentation will provide additional insights to the fascinating history of Chandor Gardens.
Hope to see you there!
